Today I feel as if I finally got serious about getting healthy. While at a park waiting for my nephew to finish a 3 hour day camp, I decided that I was going to make my first little change. Rather than sitting in the shade reading a magazine, I was going to spend this time walking.
After walking through the wooded path at the park, I took a deep breath of the fresh air & instantly felt a huge smile on my face. I knew that I had found something that I could easy begin doing more often that I would absolutely enjoy. After walking further around the park, I decided that I needed to make a plan to make walking in this park a regular thing. I texted my boyfriend and told him that every Sunday I want to come to the park. I want to walk, jog and complete the fitness course.
The best part is that he agreed and said that he would come and join me for my trial of the park today. We made ourselves familiar with more of the paths and with the training spots along the course. It was hard work and I had to modify a few of the exercises, but I didn’t complain. I just did it & I had my great motivator beside me telling me that I can do this and that I will reach my goals.
